Agropur updates recall on frozen dairy products
Idéale ice cream brand added to a voluntary recall issued earlier in July
Agropur is widening its voluntary recall of ice cream and
frozen dairy products to include its Idéale brand over concerns there might be metal particles in the product.
Issued last week, the initial recall covered Iceberg brand sandwiches sold in boxes of eight and the Originale Augustin brand sold in boxes of 30. It has been updated to include 11.4-litre tubs of ice cream in a variety of flavours. Click here for product details including UPC and product codes.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is overseeing the recall. So far, no injuries have been reported.
Agropur is asking for the product to be taken off shelves and customers can return the boxes to stores for a full refund.
