Ana Silva is the new president of The Very Good Food Company

Former Daiya Foods executive takes the helm of the Vancouver-based company in January

The Very Good Food Company Inc., an emerging plant-based food technology company based in Vancouver, has appointed Ana Silva as president.

Silva has more than 15 years of experience in business finance and most recently served as chief financial officer with Daiya Foods Inc. She starts with The Very Good Food Company in January.

Silva joins the company as it looks to up its production capacity and research and development with new facilities, and expand into the U.S. and other international markets.

“We are fortunate to have someone of Ana’s caliber and experience joining our team at a critical inflection point for our company, as we are on the verge of scaling our operations by a very substantial margin,” said CEO Mitchell Scott, in a press release announcing Silva's appointment. “With significant capacity expansion and a large waitlist of wholesale accounts, Ana’s previous executive-level experience at Daiya Foods will be an invaluable asset to our team.”
