M&M Food Market has announced that its CEO Andy O’Brien is departing the company at the end of July.

O’Brien spent eight years at the food retailer and is credited for transforming the M&M business, which was acquired by Calgary-based Parkland Corporation, a gas station and convenience store operator, earlier this year in a $322-million deal.

The company also announced that Allan Lindsay, senior vice president, marketing and operations, has been promoted to the role of president. In a statement, the company described Lindsay as a “passionate food retailer” and industry expert who played a big part in the company’s recent transformation.

Mississauga, Ont.-based M&M Food Market has a network of more than 300 stores, and more than 2,000 express locations across the country.
