Advocacy group targets Loblaw CEO Galen Weston
During Loblaws’ most recent earnings call, CEO Galen G. Weston said an increase in minimum wage would result in an additional $190 million a year in labour costs. Independent advocacy organization Leadnow has accused Weston and other CEOs of trying to "sabotage" the wage hike, and launched an online petition to send a message to the Ontario Liberals that voters want a livable minimum wage.
