Cake Mate cupcake icings

A new line of cupcake icings from London, Ont.-based McCormick Canada makes it easy for consumers to create stunning-looking cupcakes.

Cake Mate cupcake icing comes in two styles: buttercream and rich chocolate. The buttercream is sold is also three flavours: sky blue, petal pink and cloud white flavours

Company officials say the icing is easy to apply. All users need to do is press the nozzle with a thumb or index finger to start the icing flow. No spreading or mixing is necessary.

Four decorating tips (writing, ribbon, leaf, and star shapes) are housed under the cap and give home bakers the ability to create a variety of icing designs.

The icing is dense and textured and therefore designed to hold its shape on the cupcake.
