Calgary Co-op has broken ground on a sprawling retail complex in Cochrane, Alta.

Slated for completion in summer 2025, the site spans six acres.

It will feature a 41,000 square foot food store and other Calgary Co-op retail offerings, including a Wine Spirits Beer (WSB) store, Cannabis location, a gas station, car wash and convenience store.

Another 31,000 square feet of commercial retail space will be available for lease.

The grocery store alone is expected to create 150 local jobs.
