Calgary Co-op CEO Andrew Clarke joins GroceryConnex 2026 speaker lineup
Andrew Clarke, CEO of Calgary Co-op, will speak at Canadian Grocer’s GroceryConnex this November.
He joins Kim Furlong, president and CEO of the Retail Council of Canada, and Pierre St-Laurent, president and CEO of Empire Company Ltd. and Sobeys Inc., on this year’s Leadership Panel.
Taking place Nov. 23 at The Fairmont Royal York in Toronto, GroceryConnex is the premier event for Canadian grocery executives, bringing retailers and manufacturers together to learn and explore innovative solutions that will shape the future of grocery.
Clarke was tapped to lead the co-operative in July, bringing more than 30 years of retail experience to the role.
Before joining Calgary Co-op, Clarke served as CEO of francesca’s and previously held executive leadership roles with LOFT, Justice, Kmart, Marks & Spencer, New Look and Pimkie. He also serves as an advisory board member of Pearl by David’s Bridal.
One of the largest retail co-operatives in North America, Calgary Co-op counts nearly 500,000 members. Its subsidiaries include Willow Park Wines & Spirits, Beacon Pharmacy, Care Pharmacies and Community Natural Foods.
