Imperial Caviar & Seafood is recalling Imperial Caviar & Seafood and VIP Caviar Club brand Trout Roe sold in Quebec because they may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum.

The recall applies to 50 and 100-gram tins of Imperial Caviar & Seafood brand trout roe, and 50-gram tins of VIP Caviar Club brand.

Food contaminated with Clostridium botulinum toxin may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
