Who: Chapman’s Ice Cream

What: The ice cream maker has renewed its partnership with A Room Of Your Own Book Club to promote the love of reading among teen girls living in marginalized communities across Canada.

As part of its commitment, Chapman’s is donating 1,000 (up from 600 last year) young adult novels to the non-profit organization.

“As a family, reading has always been such an important part of our daily lives,” says Ashley Chapman, VP of Chapman’s Ice Cream, in a press release. “The love of reading is more than a pastime; it is a force of nature that breaks down barriers and opens a person’s mind to other worlds. Literacy is a gift that never stops giving.”
