The Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA) has acquired the Association Canadienne des Produits Naturels (ACPN).

The integration of the two associations combines the 40-year history of ACPN’s representation of Quebec’s natural health products industry with the national reach and resources of CHFA

“By joining forces, we are building a stronger, more united voice for natural health products across Canada,” said Aaron Skelton, CHFA president and CEO, in a press release. “This partnership will preserve ACPN’s legacy while expanding the services and advocacy capacity available to its members.”

The combined associations will deliver expanded resources, giving members access to CHFA’s network, as well as regulatory and advocacy capabilities. The integration will also engage with Health Canada, and protect the interests of NHP (natural health products) stakeholders nationwide.

A new Quebec-based team lead, Jules Gorham, has been appointed as senior director of Quebec affairs, providing regional insights and French language support.

“This is a natural evolution for ACPN,” said David Pelletier, outgoing president of ACPN, in a press release. “Our collaboration with CHFA over the years has proven that we are stronger together. This amalgamation ensures that our members’ voices remain strong, well-resourced, and impactful at both the provincial and federal levels.”
