CHFA recognizes UNFI Canada, Calgary Co-op, Community Natural Foods and more

The Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA) recognized leaders in Canada’s wellness industry this past weekend at its Industry Achievement Awards.

Held Sept. 26 during CHFA Now in Toronto, the annual awards celebrate leadership, advocacy, entrepreneurship, retail, sales, brand building and distribution.

The 2026 CHFA Industry Achievement Award winners are:

• Trailblazer Small Business Award: Mitsoh

• Woman of Influence Award: Angie Wood, Calgary Co-op

• Excellence in Retail Sales: Nathan Froese, Community Natural Foods

• Excellence in Sales: Johnny Hribar, Propel Natural Brands

• Retailer of the Year Award: Nature’s Emporium

• Brand Excellence Award: St. Francis Herb Farm Inc.

• Best Boutique Broker: Blume Natural Sales and Marketing
