CIGBA/DCI name new board of directors

CIGBA (Canadian Independent Grocery Buyers Alliance) and DCI (Distribution Canada Inc.) have announced new appointments to their board of directors.

Gordon Dean (Mike Dean Local Grocer in Ontario) is now chair of the board; Craig Cavin (Country Grocer in B.C.) is vice chair; Mike Sharpe (Sharpe’s Food Market in Ontario) is treasurer; and Nigel Oliver (Vince’s Market in Ontario) is past chair. 

Tarik Zeid of Manitoba-based Food Fare joins as director. 

Additional directors include Rocco Commisso (Commisso’s Fresh Foods in Ontario), Rick Rabba (Rabba Fine Foods in Ontario), Adam Powell (Atlantic Grocery Distributors in Newfoundland and Gabriele Torchetti (Lady York Foods in Ontario).
