Clif Bar recalls protein bars due to undeclared ingredients

Product recall has sparked a food safety investigation

Clif Bar & Company is recalling its Clif Builder's brand Mint Chocolate Protein Bars because they may contain peanuts, tree nuts and coconut which are not declared on the label.

The company is advising people with peanut, tree nut or coconut allergies to not consume the recalled products, which have been sold nationally at retail and also online. Click here for the list of recalled products and codes.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. The federal agency says there have been reported reactions associated with the consumption of this product.
