Colabor Group announces new president and CEO

The board of directors of Colabor Group Inc. is announced that Claude Gariépy will be its next president and CEO, effective January 2012, succeeding Gilles C. Lachance.

Lachance will become a director of the company, filling the seat currently held by Gariépy.

This appointment follows a succession planning process that began in October 2010 when Lachance informed the board of directors of his intention to retire at the end of 2012.

Gariépy is presently a director of the company and a member of its corporate governance and human resources committee.

Since 2003 he has been executive vice-president and CEO of Familiprix.

Before joining Familiprix, he had been in charge of regional and national commercial activities with large Canadian grocery chains.

Colabor is a wholesaler and distributor of food and non-food products serving the retail market and the foodservice market in Quebec, Ontario and the Atlantic provinces.
