Deal marks the second add-on acquisition for Toronto-based Commercial Bakeries

Private-label cookies and crackers maker Commercial Bakeries Corp. has acquired Hollandia Bakeries.

The Mount Brydges, Ont.-based company, comprising Hollandia Bakeries Ltd. and the Good Food Company Inc., manufactures seasonal, soft-baked and everyday cookies.

It’s the second add-on acquisition for Toronto-based Commercial Bakeries following Graham Partners’ purchase of the company in 2023.

The deal follows Commercial Bakeries’ acquisition of Imagine Baking in May 2024, as it looks to capitalize on the growth of private-label baked snacks.

Hollandia Bakeries operates a baking facility with multiple cookie manufacturing lines and packaging capabilities.

"With this transaction, I anticipate significant benefits including increased management support and investment to accelerate our growth trajectory,” Dan Simile, president of Hollandia Bakeries, said in a press release. “I am confident that this acquisition will help us continue to deliver high-quality baked goods, while meeting the evolving demands of our clients.”

Commercial Bakeries CEO Shawn Warren welcomed Simile and the Hollandia Bakeries team to its expanded network.

“We are confident that together we will accelerate towards our vision of 'Baking Up Better' every day and in every way,” he said.
