ConAgra Foods announces two appointments to Canadian business

ConAgra Foods announced two appointments to the company’s Canadian business.

Ian Roberts (pictured left), previously vice-president sales, has been named vice-president and general manager of ConAgra Foods Canada. Roberts brings more than 16 years of business experience from Nielsen, Kellogg’s and ConAgra.

In his new role he will lead market strategies, business development and trade relationships in Canada.

Vince Mendes de Franca (pictured right) will be taking Roberts’ place as vice-president, sales. Mendes de Franca most recently served as group director, market development at ConAgra, where he led the development of channel, pricing, go-to-market strategies and category management.

In his new role, Mendes de Franca will be responsible for cultivating retail partnerships and leading sales direction.

“Since joining ConAgra Foods three years ago, Mendes de Franca has demonstrated his ability to activate an unparalleled strategic vision that delivers significant business results,” said Anna Biehn, president of ConAgra Foods International, in a release.

Both appointments are effective immediately.
