Darrell Jones to chair BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s board of directors

Save-On-Foods president Darrell Jones has been appointed chair of the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s board of directors. Jones has served on the board for the last five years as a member and past vice-chair.

“Save-On-Foods has long supported the work of the BC Children’ Hospital Foundation. Our stores fundraise proudly all year long with the goal of making a difference in the lives of children and their families across the province,” said Darrell Jones, president of Save-On-Food, in a press release.

“I am honoured to have been given this responsibility and am inspired by the work of the foundation, and the that of our team members to make a difference in children’s healthcare through this new role,” he said.

Save-On-Foods is a big believer in supporting the communities it operates within. Over the years, the grocery store chain and its supplier partners have donated mored than $40 million to children’s hospitals across Western Canada.
