Diversity leaders from Loblaw, Walmart, Nestlé speaking at Star Women conference

Morning conference will look at actionable ways organizations can recruit and retain females in the workforce

Canadian Grocer's upcoming Star Women conference will provide some key ways grocery organizations can ensure their inclusive and diverse when it comes to their workplaces.

The second annual breakfast event takes place on Oct. 29 at the International Centre.

Canadian Grocer's 16 Star Women award winners will be feted at this year's event. Star Women acknowledges females in the sector for their contributions to the grocery industry.

Speakers at the event will include a keynote presentation from Dr. Wendy Cukier of Ryerson's Diversity Institute who will offer best practices on diversity assessment in organizations.

Senior leaders on diversity and hiring from Loblaw, Walmart and Nestlé Canada will then present case studies on how their organizations are recruiting and retaining females in their workforce.

The event will conclude with a panel discussion with audience members.
