Dolly Parton, Duncan Hines launch Southern-inspired baking collection
Duncan Hines is partnering with country music legend Dolly Parton on a line of Southern-inspired desserts.
The line includes cake mixes and frostings inspired by some of Parton’s favorite family recipes such as Coconut Cake and Banana Puddin' Cake.
To kick off the collaboration, a limited number of Dolly Parton's Baking Collection kits were made available online for US$40.00 (plus shipping and handling), before the products hit grocery store shelves in the United States in March. The kits, which could be ordered and shipped to Canada, have already sold out.
The kit included:

- Dolly Parton's Southern Style Banana Flavored Cake Mix
- Dolly Parton's Creamy Buttercream Frosting
- Dolly Parton's Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
- Collectible tea towel & spatula
- Custom recipe cards
"I have always loved to cook and, growing up in the South, I especially love that authentic Mom and Pop kind of cooking," said Parton, in a press release. "I am excited to launch my own line of cake mixes and frostings with Duncan Hines, bringing that sweet, Southern-style baking experience I enjoy to others."
