Dufflet expands recall on plant-based chocolate cake to include vanilla, cupcakes

The latest recall was triggered by the Toronto company. A food safety investigation is underway

Dufflet Pastries has added plant-based cupcakes and vanilla plant-based cake to a recall issued late last week.

On July 2, the Toronto-based dessert company said its plant-based chocolate cake contained eggs not declared on the label.

The recall now includes:

  • Plant-based Chocolate Cake (UPC 6 24122 00700 8)
  • Plant-based Vanilla Cake (UPC 6 24122 00701 5)
  • Plant-based Chocolate Cupcakes (UPC 6 24122 00702 2)
  • Plant-based Vanilla Cupcakes (UPC 6 24122 00703 9)

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
