Metro discount banner Food Basics is now offering online shopping.
For its first foray into e-commerce, Food Basics says customers will be able to access the same range of products as in-store as well as weekly promotions and current offers.
The grocer introduced its new click and collect service this week with an AI-powered campaign.
In partnership with creative agency Open, the campaign uses AI-generated images and runs across digital and social media, along with in-store POS and targeted email marketing.
“As Food Basics steps into the realm of e-commerce, we’re also delving into new capabilities, and it includes AI,” said Mathieu Robitaille, head of marketing, Metro Ontario Inc., in a statement. “The influence of AI played a crucial role in defining the campaign's visual identity.”
