Burnac Produce Group has appointed Frank Spagnuolo as senior vice president and managing director.
Spagnuolo will report to chairman Joseph Burnett and CEO Lorne Burnett beginning Sept. 25.
With over 30 years of experience, the executive has dedicated the majority of his career to Loblaw, taking on numerous roles. Most recently, he served as the grocer’s senior category director, produce procurement, for 14 years.
Spagnuolo’s roots in produce began in early childhood when he lived above his parents’ grocery store in downtown Hamilton, Ont.
“At Burnac, we are intent on bringing a fresh and current approach to the produce industry. As an industry veteran, Frank will make an important contribution to those efforts and to our business, in general, bringing global reach, knowledge, a wealth of experience, and continued best practices to our company,” Burnac Produce said in a statement.
