Fresh lychee fruit recalled over undeclared ingredients
Recall covers product sold in bulk or packaged by the retailer
Monco Produce Inc. is recalling fresh lychee fruit from the marketplace because they contain sulphites not declared on the label.
The recall covers fresh lychee fruit sold in bulk or that may have been packed by retail stores in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario between Aug. 7 and Aug. 31. Consumers who are unsure if they have purchased affected product should check with their store.
This recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results. CFIA continues to investigate and will update the public as more information becomes available.
