Galleria Supermarket is growing its presence in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with its most ambitious store yet, a new flagship location that it says will serve as a new "K-Hub" (Korean hub) for the area.

The new location, Galleria Supermarket K-Town is set to mark its grand opening on March 19 at 300 Steeles Ave. W. in Thornhill.

Galleria, which operates seven supermarkets and express locations around the GTA, says the new, 37,123-sq.-ft. flagship has been designed to be more than a traditional supermarket, instead it will be a "destination" where shipping, dining, culture and lifestyle come together under one roof.

Among its features, Galleria Supermarket K-Town will offer fresh produce, a wide range of grocery as well as household products and specialty items. The store will also boast the chain's largest deli kitchen where fresh meals will be prepared as well as an in-house a cooking class studio.

The new store will also house Galleria Avenue, a food court featuring vendors such as Kenzo Ramen, Woojoo Bunsik and a Bûngopang café. And for K-beauty fans, a Yeowoo retail space will be available offering best-selling and trend-forward products.

“K-Town is meaningful not only because it is the largest store Galleria has opened to date, but because it will serve as a gateway for sharing Korean food, culture, and lifestyle more broadly across the GTA,” said a Galleria spokesperson in a press release. “We hope this new flagship location will become a welcoming destination for both the Korean community and the wider local community.”
