Breakfast Clubs of Canada is announced the inaugural Round Up For Charity fundraising campaign taking place in participating Giant Tiger stores from August 18 to September 7.
Giant Tiger stores will invite customers to round up their total to the next dollar, and donate the difference to Breakfast Clubs of Canada.
"This inaugural fundraising campaign with Breakfast Clubs of Canada is part of a long tradition of social commitment at Giant Tiger," said Andy Gross, president and CEO, Giant Tiger Stores Limited. "Our partnership with Breakfast Clubs of Canada gives us hope for the future of young Canadians."
This year, more than 107,000 children will benefit from a healthy breakfast in nearly 1,050 school breakfast programs across Canada.
It is estimated that in Canada, one out of every ten children lives in poverty and at risk of starting their day with an empty stomach.
Canadians can also show their support by texting the word "BREAKFAST" to 4-5-6-7-8 to donate $5 which equals a week's worth of breakfast for a child.
