Giant Tiger Stores Limited is set to open a new location in Montreal on April 1.
The 18,000 square foot store is located at 6700 Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges and is the discount retailer’s fifth location in the city.
Store manager Slim Ben Saïd will be making a charitable donation on behalf of Giant Tiger to support PROMIS, a non-profit organization that helps immigrants and refugees and their families in their cultural, social, and professional integration process.

"We are thrilled to be opening a new Giant Tiger store in Côte-des-Neiges to better serve our valued customers in Montreal, QC," Ben Saïd said in a statement. "We are ready to open our doors and provide giant savings to our community on the items they need and want, for less."
Speeches and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place starting at 7:30 a.m. on April 1.
The store will operate from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
