A custom vertical farming trailer will appear at community events across Ontario and Atlantic Canada this spring

GoodLeaf Farms is teaming up with Sobeys to bring an immersive vertical farming experience to communities across Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

Running from March 14 to May 10, The Good for Life Tour will bring a 53-foot custom vertical farming trailer to community events to provide visitors with a first-hand look at how pesticide-free leafy greens can be grown indoors, year-round in Canada.

GoodLeaf, the largest and only national vertical farming operator in Canada, says with 90% of leafy greens currently imported, the tour will highlight how indoor vertical farming can bring more fresh food production closer to home.

In addition to a behind-the-scenes look at how a vertical farm works, the tour will provide visitors with free smoothies, the chance to sample a variety of microgreens as well as chef-prepared bites.

Founded in Halifax in 2011, GoodLeaf operates three commercial scale farms across Canada supplying its products to retailers and foodservice operators.
