Grand Prix Awards entry deadline is extended

11/30/2012

There is still time to enter this year's Canadian Grand Prix New Product Awards and see your innovative product's name up in lights.

The deadline to enter the awards has just been extended to Dec. 17th.

The Grand Prixs, now in their 20th year, are awarded to the best new products in Canada on five criteria: uniqueness and innovation, product characteristics, presentation and packaging, overall consumer value and consumer acceptance (the penetration rate of a product into households).

The awards program is open to manufacturers and distributors of all sizes. Products introduced between Jan. 1, 2012 and Dec. 31, 2012 are eligible for this year’s awards.

The products are judged by a jury comprised of consumers, journalists and people working in the grocery industry.

Winners will be announced at a dinner in June as part of “Store”, the Retail Council of Canada’s annual conference.

Awards are handed out in 26 food, non-food and private-label categories.

Entries can be made online or by fax. To enter or to get more information, go to the Retail Council of Canada website or click here.
