Hain Celestial taps CPG vet Chad Marquardt as president of North America

Marquardt will lead strategy and execution in the U.S. and Canada

The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. has named Chad Marquardt president of North America.

Marquardt will be responsible for leading strategy and execution in the U.S. and Canada, reporting to the company’s president and CEO Wendy Davidson.

He steps into the new role on March 25.

"Chad brings to Hain deep strategic experience and expertise across sales, customer development, channel expansion and omnichannel brand building in the better-for-you consumer packaged goods space," Davidson said in a release. "His proven results building high-performing teams and successfully leading organizations through complex transformation while driving long-term, profitable growth makes him an outstanding addition to the executive leadership team."

Marquardt previously served as chief customer officer at Glanbia Performance Nutrition (GPN) – Americas. There, he oversaw commercial delivery across the company’s portfolio of snacks, beverages and supplement brands in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

Prior to GPN, Marquardt spent four years at  health, hygiene and nutrition company Reckitt Benckiser. Holding roles across retail sales and global integration, he was responsible for the company’s portfolio of brands including Enfamil, Clearasil and Lysol, among others.

Before Reckitt, Marquardt spent seven years at Mead Johnson Nutrition focused on customer development and retail sales in the U.S. and Canada. 

He began his career at Unilever where he held a variety of roles across integrated marketing, customer planning and strategy, category Management, shopper marketing and brand management.
