Healthy Planet recognized for donations to Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation

What: The Ontario health and wellness retailer was recognized for donating $130,000 to the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation over the past several years, including more than $90,000 directed to support McMaster Children’s Hospital.

McMaster Children’s Hospital President Bruce Squires and Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation VP of Development Sherri Bocchini extended their appreciation to Healthy Planet, providing the grocer’s executive team a look at the work being done at the children’s hospital.  

“Overall, it is our goal to be there for our customers and provide for all their wellness needs,” said Muhammed Mohamedy, general manager of Healthy Planet, in a statement. “However we know that not all health issues can be prevented and scientific intervention is needed. For this, we make it our mission to collaborate with community partners in research and health care to make a bigger impact in the lives of communities where we work.”
