Healthy Planet's Good Food Drive returns for second year
Who: Healthy Planet
What: The health and wellness retailer has announced the return of its annual Good Food Drive.
Last year’s inaugural campaign resulted in the donation of raw ingredients equivalent to 300,000 meals for children in need.
To maximize the reach of this year’s Good Food Drive, Healthy Planet has partnered with Food Banks Canada and Daily Bread Food Bank, alongside several natural health and wellness brands, including Prana, MadeGood, Manitoba Harvest, Peacasa, Wellness Monster, Vita Coco, Dr. Bee and Healthy Planet’s own house brand, Benefits By Nature.
Healthy Planet’s Good Food Drive runs across the retailer’s stores and on its e-commerce platform until Sept. 16.
In stores, customers can identify participating products through dedicated shelf tags, promotional signage and in-store announcements.
Every purchase of a qualifying product from participating partner brands contributes to the Good Food Drive. Online, shoppers can support the initiative through a dedicated campaign page featuring all eligible products.
“At Healthy Planet, we believe that access to high-quality, nutritious food is a fundamental right, not a privilege,” said Muhammad Mohamedy, general manager of Healthy Planet, in a press release. “With more Canadian families than ever relying on food banks, this year’s Good Food Drive is a critical step in addressing food insecurity. We are incredibly proud to partner with Food Banks Canada, Daily Bread and our outstanding brand partners to provide clean, organic meals to those who need them most. Together with our community, we can make a meaningful difference.”
