High Liner Foods announces departure of president, COO
Jeff O'Neill is leaving his role as
president and chief operating officer of High Liner Foods' Canadian operations, the company announced Tuesday.
According to his LinkedIn profile, O'Neill joined the frozen seafood company as vice-president retail sales in marketing in 2012. He was promoted to his most recent role in April 2015. In a press release, the company said it would not fill the position left vacant by O'Neill, but would instead restructure to "improve its marketing and sales effectiveness and reduce fixed costs."
"On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Jeff for his contribution to High Liner Foods and wish him all the best with his future endeavors," said Henry Demone, who recently returned to the role of chief executive officer -- a position he held from 1992 to 2015.
