High Liner Foods names Kimberly Stephens CFO
Frozen seafood company High Liner Foods has appointed Kimberly Stephens as chief financial officer, effective immediately.
Stephens takes over the role from outgoing CFO Darryl Bergman who is leaving the Nova Scotia-based company to pursue new opportunities. High Liner says Bergman will stay on to support in an advisory capacity through Oct. 3.
Most recently, Stephens served as vice-president, finance and investor relations, a post she has held for the past three years. Prior to joining High Liner she was vice-president of finance at Acadian Seaplants and spent a decade as chief financial officer at Appili Therapeutics and Immunovaccine Inc. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
"Kimberly is a proven leader who brings deep knowledge of our business and strong financial expertise to the role," said High Liner president and CEO Paul Jewer in a release.
