Study shows consumers think food tastes better when it's more expensive

Want shoppers to enjoy their food more? Up the price. A study conducted by a team of researchers at Cornell University found customers who pay a higher price at restaurants found the food to be tastier than the same food offered at a lower price at another restaurant. "We were surprised by the striking pattern we saw," said one of the researchers. "If the food is there, you are going to eat it, but the pricing very much affects how you are going to feel about your meal and how you will evaluate the restaurant." Read the full article here.
