Holiday adverts from some of Britain's grocers

From Asda to Sainsbury's, holiday marketing is already out in full force
11/12/2019

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Not only because parts of the country are blanketed with snow, but holiday adverts from the U.K. are starting to flood social media feeds.

Here’s a look at what five U.K. grocers have launched so far this year:

Aldi
Kevin the Carrot is back and he has landed himself in hot water with a gang of angry Brussels sprouts.

Asda
Tilly and her brother Jack capture the holiday spirit and spread it around town.

Iceland
Last year, the grocer's animated ad about the environmental harm of palm oil was prevented from going to air for being too political. This year's ad is distinctly less political and leverages an exclusive partnership with Disney's Frozen 2.

Lidl Ireland
The discount grocer has elves on its shelves and they're headed for an adventure.

Sainsbury's
Viewers are treated to the "true" story of how St. Nicholas came to be.
