IKEA’s signature Swedish foods are now just a few clicks away.

The home furnishings retailer recently launched click-and-collect for all the products sold in its in-store Swedish Food Market. The items include coffee and sparkling beverages, smoked salmon and herring, jam and condiments, sweets and chocolates, and of course, IKEA’s famous meatballs (in frozen 1 kg bags), among other items.

“Today, life at home is more important than ever, with many families across Canada adapting to a new normal,” said Danielle Beauchesne, country food manager at IKEA Canada, in an email to Canadian Grocer. “We’re committed to providing our customers with home furnishing solutions that meet the needs of their evolving life at home, and this includes our food products they’ve come to know and love.”

The objective is to give Canadians access to IKEA’s product line “whenever and however they choose to shop with us,” added Beauchesne. “Easy, convenient, and no click-and-collect fee, this new service is a great way for customers to satisfy their Swedish food cravings without having to come into the store.”

The click-and-collect service is available at all IKEA stores across Canada. Pickup times start at 9 a.m. and run up until an hour prior to closing, based on time slot availability. Orders can be placed for same-day or next-day pick up. Customers can access the service through IKEA.ca and select their local store for pick up and availability.
