Jamie Oliver line expands in Canada

12/15/2010

Famed British chef, TV personality and advocate of healthy foods in schools Jamie Oliver has just expanded the presence of his food products in Canadian grocery stores.

As of this week, the line of pasta and pesto sauces, oils and vinegar is now available in T&T Supermarkets. The products made their first foray into Canada in the summer, when they became available at grocery stores including Highland Farms, Bruno's Fine Foods, Micahel Angelo's, Fresh & Wild and Galati Market Fresh.

The Mediterranean-inspired products are made in Italy and have low sodium content and no additives. Oliver wanted the products to be made using an authentic Italian process. For example, the green pesto is made in the birthplace of pesto, Liguria, using locally sourced ingredients when possible.

The brand is imported by Toronto-based Shalit Foods.
