Who: Joe Fresh

What: Joe Fresh is joining President’s Choice Children’s Charity (PCCC) to help reach the goal of feeding one million kids annually and providing food education and skills across Canada with a limited edition, 21-piece capsule collection that ‘helps kids go far, not hungry.’

“Hunger can make it difficult for children to concentrate, can affect their attendance and worsen learning outcomes,” said Lisa Battistelli, executive director at PCCC, in a press release. “Having partnerships like this allows us to help even more children facing food insecurity.”

The capsule collection is made for babies, toddlers and kids, and includes a selection of T-shirts, sweaters, dresses, pants and more. It will be available online and in select stores Aug. 16 and a portion of the proceeds up to $75,000 will be donated to help the cause.

PCCC’s goal is to promote a happy life for children by eliminating hunger and educating them on food, nutrition and cooking. Last year, more than 122 million meals and snacks were provided to hundreds of thousands of children through its Power Full Kids program. People can contribute to PCCC and its programs while back-to-school shopping this year.

“As we head into a busy back-to-school season we know it can be difficult for families that face food insecurity,” said Ian Freedman, president at Joe Fresh, in the release. “We are thrilled to be teaming up with President's Choice Children's Charity to help address this challenge for children and their families across the country.”
