Keurig Dr Pepper Canada has tapped Iannick Melançon and Ryan Bahadur to lead its coffee and refreshment beverage businesses.

The appointments come as KDP advances its planned separation into two independent companies, Global Coffee Co. and Beverage Co.

Melançon will oversee the Canadian business for Global Coffee Co. as general manager and Bahadur will lead Beverage Co. across Canada and Europe as general manager.

Melançon brings more than 25 years of experience in the consumer goods industry to his new position.

He most recently served as senior vice-president, customer and commercial at Danone Canada, where he was a member of the executive committee. Earlier in his career, he held roles with PepsiCo Canada and S.C. Johnson & Son before joining Danone in 2007.

Bahadur, meanwhile, takes up his new role after more than a decade with KDP Canada and 30 years of business and leadership experience.

At KDP, he has served as vice-president, finance & IT and most recently interim president. In his new role, Bahadur will lead the company’s operations and teams across Canada and Europe.

“We enter this next phase from a position of strength, with leading and emerging brands, differentiated capabilities and deep expertise across our markets,” said Bahadur in a press release. “Our ambition for Beverage Co. is to translate those advantages into stronger performance, faster decision-making and greater impact across Canada and Europe. We know where we can win, and I’m energized by the opportunity to create an organization with the agility and competitive mindset to go after it.”

Melançon added: “I’m excited to join the Canadian coffee team at such an important moment for the business. Canada has a strong coffee culture, an incredible portfolio of brands and a talented team behind them. I look forward to getting to know our people, customers and partners and working together to build on those strengths as we prepare for the future.”

KDP is expected to complete its separation in 2027.
