KJ brand chicken and rice products recalled
Products may contain harmful ingredients not eliminated by cooking instructions
K.J. Foods Inc. is recalling
its KJ brand Sweet & Sour Chicken with Rice and its Sesame Chicken with Rice due to incorrect cooking instructions.
The impacted products were sold in Ontario and may contain harmful bacteria that may not be eliminated by following the cooking instructions on the label. Consumers should not consume products with UPC codes 6 28568 61004 4 or 6 28568 61002 0.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
