Lactalis Canada has appointed Aamir Asgarali to vice president, ingredients and exports (I&E).
Asgarali stepped into the role in May. He is responsible for driving the company’s I&E strategy to service a global market, lead the team and identify innovative ways to build on the I&E business in the dairy industry.
The executive joined Lactalis Canada – the company behind such brands as Cracker Barrel, Black Diamond, Balderson and other dairy products – in 2016 as manager, sales development, within I&E.
He was later promoted to director, commercial and trade, in 2021.
Prior to joining Lactalis Canada, Asgarali served in the public sector in various capacities at the Canadian Dairy Commission and Ministry of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
He replaces Janice Cox who will be commencing an extended transition plan with the intent to retire in the summer of 2025 following over 30 years of service to Lactalis Canada.
