Lactalis Canada has promoted Martin Santerre to SVP of industrial.

He replaces Franck Lallemand, who will be taking on a new role as SVP of industrial projects before joining Lactalis France this October.

Ronan Lostanlen is set to board the company in July as Lactalis Canada’s new VP of manufacturing for the dairy food group.

Santerre will have total oversight of the company’s 20 manufacturing facilities for cheese and tablespreads, yogourt and culture, fluid and dessert across Canada.

Lactalis Canada, a subsidiary of France-based Lactalis Group, is behind brands like Cracker Barrel, Black Diamond, Balderson, Astro and Lactantia.

“Martin has continuously demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of our manufacturing processes, making him a natural fit to be at the helm of Lactalis Canada’s industrial operations as we further strengthen our manufacturing capabilities to deliver on our long-term goals,” said Mark Taylor, president and CEO of Lactalis Canada, in a release.

Santerre joined the company in 2017 as VP, manufacturing, for the dairy food group focused on cheese and tablespreads.

Before that, he held multiple senior industrial roles at Hood Packaging and Agropur.
