Who: Ladles of Love

What: The Victory’s Kitchen soup brand has hit a milestone of 50,000 meals donated to Food Banks Canada. For every tub of soup sold, a meal is donated to Food Banks Canada

The brand was launched in memory of 17-year-old Ethan, who volunteered at the namesake grassroots soup kitchen in Cape Town, South Africa.

“To honour his life and carry forward the kindness Ethan so naturally embodied, we created this project in his name. Ladles of Love isn’t just a brand — it’s a way to continue the impact Ethan had only just begun,” notes a press release.

Ladles of Love soups are available across Canada at FreshCo, Longo's, Federated Co-Op, No Frills, Superstore and more.

The Food Banks Canada team went to the Victory’s Kitchen office last week for a cheque presentation ceremony.
