There's still time to register for Canadian Grocer's third annual sustainability conference this Thursday in Toronto.
The conference features senior execs from some of Canada’s leading retailers and CPG companies discussing how to put sustainability strategies into practice, and how it can benefit your business.
The morning will begin with a presentation from Martin Gooch, chief executive officer at Value Chain Management International.

With food and related waste costing the grocery industry an enormous amount each year, Gooch will identify ways to reduce waste and by extension, increase profits. He’ll be referencing a forthcoming report by Value Chain Management that will discuss the financial opportunities created by food waste from a grocery perspective.
Steve Sage, vice-president of sustainability and innovation at Kruger Products, will discuss the research results of the annual round table and research done with Canadian Grocer. This year, the round table discussed challenges and opportunities when it comes to sustainable transportation and logistics.
Additional speakers include Dan Branson, senior director with Loblaw, and Girvish Nair, commercial manager with Cold Supply Chain.
The morning conference takes place at the International Centre in Mississauga on Oct. 30.
