Loblaw Companies Ltd. opened four discount stores across three provinces Thursday (July 10).

On the west coast, Edward’s No Frills welcomed shoppers in Kelowna, B.C. (26-2484 Main St). Quebec, meanwhile, is now home to two new Maxi stores in Sainte-Adèle (400 boul. Sainte-Adèle) and Boucherville (10-100 boul. De Mortagne). And, finally, Correy & Rita’s No Frills opened its doors in Tillsonburg, Ont. (671 Broadway Street).

Melanie Singh, Loblaw’s president of Hard Discount, shared the news on LinkedIn.

“These openings demonstrate our commitment to ensuring Canadians have access to quality food at truly affordable prices. Within Hard Discount, our core belief is that everyone deserves fresh produce, essential groceries, and more, all while maximizing their budget. It's about bringing unparalleled value directly to more neighbourhoods,” she said.

Singh congratulated the new franchisees and store managers.

“My sincere thanks also extends to the entire Hard Discount team for their incredible effort in bringing these stores to life. We are genuinely excited to become an integral part of these communities and eagerly anticipate providing customers with the very best value, every single day. We hope to see you at one of our new locations very soon.”
