In an effort to relieve some of the stress around cooking, Canada’s largest grocer is sharing recipes, podcasts, how-to videos and more

Finding meal-time inspiration can be difficult in the best of times. Throw in a global pandemic, strict social distancing rules and an increased number of meals now made at home, and you've got a recipe for stress.

To help ease some of the frustration around meal ideas and preparation during the COVID-19 outbreak, Loblaw is unlocking a wide-range of food-related content online that is otherwise exclusive to members of the grocery company's PC Insiders fee-based subscription program.

Loblaw executive chairman Galen Weston made the announcement on Wednesday in an email to its PC Optimum members, with a brief rundown of what customers can expect including a new series called Cooking School featuring Canada's top chefs.

"It’s a website full of food content, including shows, articles, podcasts, how-to videos, and many of our absolutely favourite recipes. Have you ever wondered about the best way to peel a mango? Turns out I’ve been doing it all wrong," he joked.

PC Insiders launched nationwide at the end of 2018 and offers perks across a range of Loblaw’s in-store and e-commerce products, brands and services, and costs $9.99 per month or $99 a year.
