Longo’s president Deb Craven joins GroceryConnex Leadership Panel
Deb Craven, president of Longo’s, will speak at Canadian Grocer’s GroceryConnex conference this November.
Craven joins the event's Leadership Panel alongside Kim Furlong, president and CEO of the Retail Council of Canada and Andrew Clarke, CEO of Calgary Co-op.
As president of Longo’s, part of Empire Company Ltd., Craven leads strategic growth and expansion, drawing on a distinguished executive career at brands like Nike, Purolator and Canadian Tire.
Craven joined Longo’s in 2019 as chief financial officer. She was later promoted to chief operating officer before taking on her current position in 2023. Craven is the first woman to be named president of the grocery banner.
A champion of both business excellence and community impact, Craven has served on the boards of organizations including The Learning Partnership, Sagesse in Calgary, Kids Help Phone and The Grocery Foundation.
Craven was the keynote speaker for Canadian Grocer’s Star Women in Grocery event on Sept. 24.
Taking place Nov. 23 at The Fairmont Royal York in Toronto, GroceryConnex is the premier event for Canadian grocery executives, bringing retailers and manufacturers together to learn and explore innovative solutions that will shape the future of grocery.
