Longo’s sets opening date for King City store

Longo’s 45th supermarket will open this month.

The Ontario retailer announced on social media that it will welcome shoppers to its new location in King City, Ont. on Nov. 12.

Located at 1700 King Rd., inside King’s Ridge Marketplace, the 50,000 square-foot site was previously home to Coppa’s Fresh Market, which recently closed down.

“The signs are up, the shelves are being stocked, and it’s all coming together for opening day,” the retailer said in an Instagram post.

The Empire Company banner—celebrating its 70th anniversary this year—announced plans to open in King City this past May.
