The annual golf tournament marked its 25th anniversary, while raising $240,000 for local charities
On Tuesday, June 24, with the support of our its vendors, Longo's hosted its annual Fore Kids' Sake charity golf tournament.
The event, which celebrated its 25th year, raised $240,000 for SickKids and Markham Stouffville Hospitals, CNIBs Camp Lake Joe and ErinoakKids Children’s Treatment Centre.
Over the past 25 years, the tournament has raised nearly $2.6 million. Some 502 golfers hit the links over a morning and afternoon shotgun at Lionhead Golf and Country Club in Brampton, Ont.
In addition, this year Longo's hosted a “Beat the Longo” event at four of the par 3s where each vendor had the chance to beat either Anthony, Joey, Gus or Mike Longo at a par 3 to be closest to the pin.
