Metro donates $447K to Canadian Red Cross to help earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria
Grocer announces results of its fundraising campaign to support emergency relief in the affected areas

What: A month after it launched a vast fundraising campaign to support the Canadian Red Cross in its humanitarian aid efforts for those affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, Metro announced it has donated a total of $447,020 to the organization.
That number includes $397,020 raised during the campaign, as well as the grocer's initial donation of $50,000.
Metro called on the generosity of customers in its Metro, Super C and Adonis stores in Quebec, as well as Jean Coutu and Brunet affiliated stores, to collect cash donations.
All money raised will be donated to the Red Cross Earthquake in Türkiye & Syria Appeal to support emergency relief, recovery efforts and resilience building activities in the affected areas.
